Visa Requirements

Foreign visitors to Egypt can get a visitor's visa stamped in their passport at the port of entry, except for nationals for certain countries who require a visa to be obtained from Egyptian Consulate in the country where they live. The Visitors visa is valid for one moth and can be extended for periods up to six months. However, this changes from time to time and we suggest that you contact the nearest Egyptian embassy or consulate for up date information. Unfortunately Berlitz does not have the authority to obtain visas for any foreign instructor.

Hiring Procedure

Our hiring process can be broken down to three steps.

• The first is overlooking the Applicant's resume or CV for an initial screening. The applicant is then contacted by phone, where a quick interview is conducted as a way of checking the validity on the contents of their CV, and if the applicant seems prosperous, an interview is arranged.
• A personal interview is conducted with the applicants to discuss the vacant position.
• Finally, the accepted applicants undergo the training program, which is followed by an evaluation. If the applicant successfully passes, he is ready to go on teaching.

However, it is important yet unfortunate to note that if the applicants are foreign, Berlitz Egypt is unable to cover the cost to an interview.

Teaching Contracts

Berlitz Egypt offers freelance part-time teaching positions at any of its centres all within the city. Our classes are conducted in the morning or evening hours. Applicants don't need to have any prior teaching experience or certificates as we provide all new candidates with the necessary training on Berlitz methodology. When the training is successfully completed, candidates proceed teaching.

Getting Started

It is recommended to bring a budget of $2,500 - $3,000 as to cover costs of initial accommodation and everyday living expenses until the first payment is received.
