Visa Requirements

For information about necessary visas, please contact the Latvian embassy in your country.

Hiring Procedure

Once we have received your application, we will contact you regarding a face-to-face interview, which are conducted with all new applicants. If you reside outside of Latvia, please inform us as to when you are planning to be in the country arriving date, so that we can set up a personal interview at the centre.

Please note that any costs incurred while travelling to the interview are covered by the applicant. After successful completion of the interview process, you will be invited to attend the Berlitz Instructor Training.

Teaching Contracts

Berlitz offers freelance contracts to new instructors. Most of our classes take place in the morning or evening hours, Monday through Friday with lessons also taking place on Saturday mornings. Working hours are flexible and often change from week to week depending on customer requests and the demand for lessons.

Taxes and Pension Plans

Your monthly net salary will be transferred to your Latvian bank account. Taxes are paid monthly by our accountants, so you are not responsible for them.
